ITMA began operations in 1999 as an IT networking solutions and consultancy business with skills in the integration and support of Novell, Microsoft and Linux solutions. Since then, ITMA has grown steadily in terms of both clientele and the portfolio of services offered.
Our client base spans government, education and private sectors such as engineering, oil and gas etc.
In response to demand from the WA resources sector, ITMA now offers specialised consulting and support services oriented to the specific challenges of this industry. Integrated remote voice and data communications and networking is an area in which we have in depth knowledge and skill.
ITMA’s technical team has extensive expertise in systems integration, design, architecture, implementation and support, with key technical accreditations from companies including Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, VMware and SonicWall.
We have a policy of carefully selecting fully qualified staff based upon their alignment with our company’s culture. This ensures each engineer has the necessary technical abilities, people skills and resourcefulness to maintain the company’s reputation and ensures that all ITMA clients receive a consistent high standard of service.

MANAGING DIRECTOR / CO-FOUNDER
Alan Kerford
Has worked in the telecommunications and computer industry since 1975, delivering services to diverse industries such as offshore Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Finance, Utility companies, Banking, Pharmaceutical, Government, and the Royal Air Force.
Alan migrated to Australia in 1998 with his family and started ITMA in partnership with Jeff in February 1999. Since inception ITMA has delivered solutions to local government departments such as the Water Corporation and Department of Housing and also provided consulting and project management services to the Parliament of WA.
Alan’s passions, apart from his work, include golf, the West Coast Eagles (sorry Freo), Manchester City FC, reading, good wine, good company but not pina coladas or getting caught in the rain.

Jeff Bown
Jeff Bown has earned the reputation as an innovative leader in the information technology space. Throughout the span of over two decades, he has gained extensive hands-on expertise in the industry. Adept in virtually all aspects of IT, he is particularly well-versed in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technology.
After cultivating three years of experience in his field, Jeff co-founded ITMA in 1999 along with his business partner. Today, he is dedicated to providing executives with cutting-edge IT solutions so they can pave the path to lasting success.
Prior to that, Jeff served as a Network Engineer for GE Capital IT Solutions and studied Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Western Australia.
During his free time, you can find Jeff spending quality time with his beautiful wife and three children (two daughters and one son), listening to music (he is an avid Jimmy Barnes fan), or playing sports. Currently, he is a proud member of the WACA, cricket tragic, and coach of the Under-10’s team that his children participate in.
